Processing leave application requests

To process a leave application request:

  1. Review the Manager Receiving a Leave Application notification in the Action Centre.



  2. Select Human Resources > Staff Kiosk from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Personal tab of the My Details window is displayed.
  3. Click .
    The My Leave tab is displayed.
  4. Click the Staff Leave tab.
    The Staff Leave tab is displayed.
  5. Adjust the filters fields to display the leave application request.
  6. Click .
    The Leave request window is displayed.
  7. Review the details of the leave application request. You can view:

    • general details of the leave (i.e. duration, type, requested units of time)
    • comments about the leave
    • relief notes for managing the role while the staff member is on leave.

  8. Click .
  9. Select a processing action from the Action drop-down list. You can select:

    • Approve Application
    • Reject Application.

    Note: A warning is displayed when you approve a leave application request and the employee has:

    • Insufficient credit
    • Approved leave that overlaps with the leave application request.



    You can click:

    • Cancel to cancel the approval (the leave application request remains with a Status of Pending)
    • Continue to approve the leave application request.


    Note: You cannot update a leave application request after it has been rejected. If it has been approved, you can update the leave application request to pending provided the leave application is not been linked to a leave transaction in Synergetic.
