New Default Job Position for Leave Approvals field.

You can use the Default Job Position for Leave Approvals field to define the job position to be used when Synergetic is unable to establish a leave approver using the job position reporting hierarchy defined using the Reports to Job Position field on the General tab of Job Position Maintenance. Synergetic Financial Configuration - Payroll tab


New Job Position for Confidential Leave Approvals field.

You can use the Job Position for Confidential Leave Approvals field on the General tab of the Synergetic Financial Configuration window to define the job position used to approve confidential (e.g. domestic violence) leave applications.

Note: You can define confidential leave types using the ConfidentialFlag on the luPayrollLeave lookup table. See luPayrollLeave lookup table.

Updated Leave Date of Return is Last Day of Leave field.

You can use the Leave Date of Return is Last Day of Leave field on the Payroll tab of Synergetic Financial Configuration to determine whether employees returning from leave resume work on their last day of leave or their first day of work after leave.

Leave-related tabs and windows display the last day of leave as the

  • End Date when this field is selected
  • Return Date when this field is deselected.
New Auto Adjust Pay When Leave Entered field.

You can use the Auto Adjust Pay When Leave Entered field on the Payroll tab of the Synergetic Financial Configuration window to determine whether normal pay lines are automatically updated based on the amount of leave taken when entering leave pay lines on the Detail tab of Current Pay Maintenance. See Current Pay Maintenance - Detail tab.

New ElevatedLeaveApprovalFlag field.

You can use the ElevatedLeaveApprovalFlag field of the luPayrollLeave lookup table to flag leave types that require elevated leave approval.

Leave types requiring elevated leave approval can only be approved by staff members with Can approve any level of leave application selected in the Leave Application Approval Authority drop-down list on the General tab of Job Position Maintenance. See Job Position Maintenance - General tab.

New ConfidentialFlag field.

You can use the ConfidentialFlag field of the luPayrollLeave lookup table to flag leave types as confidential.

Confidential leave applications can only be approved by managers with the job position selected in the Job Position for Confidential Leave Approvals field on the General tab of Synergetic Financial Configuration. See Synergetic Financial Configuration - Payroll tab.

New DocumentClassificationCode field.

You can use the DocumentClassificationCode field on the luPayrollLeave lookup table to select the document classification for each leave type used at your organisation.

Once a document classification is selected, the document classification will be automatically populated for all documents associated with the selected leave type. For example, in the image below the MedicalPrivate document classification is automatically applied to a confidential medical leave application.
