Configuring external system lookup table mapping

You can configure lookup table mapping to determine the lookup table values mapped to external system values.

To configure external system lookup table mapping:

  1. Click System > Interface Settings.
    The Interface Settings window is displayed.
  2. Select the external system from the drop-down list.


    You can select:
    • ACARA - Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority
    • myEdOnline
    • QAS - QAS Validation Provider
    • QCAA - Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority
    • SIF - Systems Interoperability Framework.

    The Interface Settings window is displayed.


    Tip:
     Some settings are duplicated in different sections of the settings tree. You will see multiple settings highlighted in green when a setting with a duplicate is selected. 

    The settings tree is displayed for the selected external system.
  3. Click  to expand all items in the settings tree, if they are not already expanded.
  4. Select either:

    Inbound to map inbound external system values to Synergetic lookup tables values.
    • Outbound to map outbound Synergetic lookup table values to external system values.

    Note: You can use the settings items to define configuration settings for the selected external system. See Configuring external system settings.

    The lookup tables are displayed.
  5.  Select the lookup table.
    The mapping table is displayed.


    Note: For information about the lookup tables that can be mapped for each external system, see Using the Interface Settings window.

    Tip: You can select the Active Only field to only active lookup table entries.

  6. Click  next to the first value to be mapped.
    The mapping drop-down list is displayed.


    Note: The  icon is displayed when there are unmapped values.

  7. Select the value that best represents the corresponding lookup table or external system value.

    The value is mapped.
  8. Repeat steps 10 and 11 until all required values are mapped.

    Note: The icon is displayed when there are unmapped values.

  9. Click  to refresh the changes.
