This page focuses on the customisation of email notifications for sending payslips within the Synergetic payroll system. Here, you will find instructions for tailoring email templates to suit your school's requirements. By following this guide, you will be able to enhance the delivery and presentation of payslip emails, ensuring they are both effective and personalised for your employees.

  1. Run Payroll Configuration Maintenance from the Payroll module.

To accommodate the increased customisation options, we moved the limited payslip configuration functions available on Page 1 of the tabs to a newly created, dedicated tab called "Payslips."

  1. In the Payslips section:

  • The Default Notification Method now has an additional option as Email Home which allows to set the home email address as the default email.

  • The Attach Payslip to Emailed Notifications checkbox allows to specify whether or not a payslip is attached to the email. This field is set to Yes, by default.

Note: To include a link to the payslip in the email, users can uncheck the above option and use the reference link to the payslip in the Email Body.

  1. In the Email section :

  • The Message Type field now allows to configure email as HTML by default.

  • The Email From Name allows to specify who the email is originated from.

  • The Email From Address allows to specify the email address of the sender.

Note: If the Email From Name or Address are left blank, the name or email of the person emailing the payslips will be used.

  • The Email Subject and Email Body fields can be now customised further using the options available by accessing Click here to insert merge field into Email Body or Email Subject.

Note: If the Email Subject is left blank, a subject of 'Payslip {PayDate}' will be used.
