Zone status indicates whether a full-time regular domestic student, adult student or returning adult student resides inside or outside of the school zone at the date of their first attendance at your organisation. It is referred to as Zoning Status by the NZ MOE.

The following zone statuses are used in the NZMOE tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - NZMOE tab (Roll returns).

Select Not Applicable if the student is any of:
- Is enrolled Enrolled at a private school.
- Is enrolled Enrolled at a school without a NZ MOE approved enrolment scheme.
- Enrolled at a school before the effective starting date of a NZ MOE approved enrolment scheme.
- Has one of the following student types: FF, AE, TPRE, TPRAE, TPAD, EM, SA, NA or SF. For details, see Student type in the Roll returns manual.
- Is enrolled Enrolled at a state integrated, Kura Kaupapa, character designated or specialist school.
