Description
The DefaultAttendanceOfficerFlag setting is used to determine whether the Attendance Officer Mode is set as the default mode for attendance entry. See Class attendance in the Attendance and absence events manual.
Default value
The default value is False. Both Attendance Officer Mode and Teacher Mode can be selected.

Note: The Attendance Officer Mode is only displayed if the EnableAttendanceOfficerModeFlag is set to True. See EnableAttendanceOfficerModeFlag configuration setting.
Setting a different value
Select the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to True. See Maintaining configuration files.

Also, the AttendanceOfficer resource needs setting in Group/User Security Maintenance:
- Attendance Officer users need to be a member of a group with all attributes of the AttendanceOfficer resource selected.

- Teachers need to be a member of a group with all attributes of the AttendanceOfficer resource cleared, and not part of any group that has attributes of the AttendanceOfficer resource selected.
