Use the NAPLAN tab to export all students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 for the NAPLAN testing.

The NAPLAN tests were first implemented in May 2008 when national tests were held in literacy and numeracy for all students in Australia at Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. These tests replaced the previous State and Territory-based assessments.

Information for New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory schools

Schools in NSW and the ACT have templates for NAPLAN tests performed either:

  • using pen and paper
  • online.

Since Synergetic exports the pen and paper version you must compare the file exported from Synergetic with the template provided by the NSW or ACT Education Standards Authority. If the exported file does not match the template, open the exported file in Excel then copy and paste individual columns from the Synergetic file into the template you have been supplied, and manually enter any extra columns which were not able to be generated by Synergetic.

Important: You must ensure that data is copied into the correct column and avoid copying over any formulas embedded in the template.
