Creating sections

You can create Sections for each Platoon in your organisation's cadet program. For example:

• Cobb A
• Cobb B
• Cobb C.

Note: Sections are the level three subject class categories of Cadet Maintenance. See the luSubjectClassCategory lookup table.

To create sections:

1. Select Curriculum > Cadet Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
   
   Note: The title of the Co-Curricular Maintenance menu item is determined by the MenuText field in the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.
   
   The Set Company Search Criteria window is displayed.
   
   
   Note: The windows in Cadet Maintenance use the words Company, Platoon and Section. This text is set using the SubjectClassCategoryLevel fields in the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.
    
2. Click .
   The Cadet Maintenance window is displayed.
3. Select a platoon in the Company Selector.
   
4. Click the Students bar.
   The Students bar is displayed.
   
5. Click in the Sections area.
   The Create New Section window is displayed.
   
   Tip: You can also click to quickly add a new section.
    
6. Type a Code for the section. For example, Cobb A.
7. Type a Description for the section. For example, Cobb A.
8. Select a Staff Member to oversee the section.
   
9. Click .
   The section is displayed in the Company Selector.
   
10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 to create additional sections.
