The Classes tab displays the staff member's classes with a description.

 Opening the Classes tab

To open the Classes tab:

  1. Select Module > Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the main menu.
    Tip: You can also access the staff functions by clicking .
  2. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.
    The Personal tab of the Staff Maintenance window is displayed.
  3. Click the Classes tab.

Fields

Field

Description

File Type

Select a file type to view. For example, Music or Sports.
Note: The Academic file type is defaulted to show.

Year / Term

By default the year and term are set to the current term. If you need to view the classes for another year or term, click in the fields and change them.

Grid area fields

File type of the class.

Class

Class code.

Description

Description of the class.

M/B Exptd

Indicates whether the class' mark book has been exported to the Synergetic standalone assessment version.
If the mark book has:

  • been exported, Yes is displayed next to the class
  • not been exported, the field is blank.


Buttons

Description

Launch into Class Maintenance. See Maintaining classes in the Assessments and reports manual.

Refresh the display after changing the Year or Term.
Note: The grid automatically refreshes if you change the File Year or File Term fields.

Maintain the staff member's mark book for the highlighted class.
See Maintaining the staff mark book.

You can set mark book results for the highlighted class as exported from a standalone system. You can use this for results that need to be re-imported. The following confirmation message is displayed.

Click if you no longer plan to import the mark book results from a standalone system.
Note: You can toggle between the Set Exported and Set Not Exported buttons.
Tip: If a staff member loses their laptop, other classes may need to be unlocked or their offline assessments re-exported.

Open the Staff Personal Comments window to maintain a personal bank of comments that can be used for assessments.
See Maintaining the staff personal comment bank.

Launch the Class Search window to add another class to the staff member's list of classes taught.

Delete the selected class from the list that this staff member teaches.
