Use the Legal bar to view:
- legal separations
- court orders
- whether the privacy policy has been agreed to by the student's parent or guardian.
Opening the Legal bar
To open the Legal bar:
- Select Students > Student Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
The Set Current Search Criteria window is displayed.
- Search for the student. See Searching for students (on page ).
The first student's record is displayed on the Current Student Maintenance window. One bar is expanded depending on your last session or earlier selection.
- Scroll down to the Legal bar, if required.
- Click the Legal bar.
Tip: You can click anywhere on the bar to open it.

Reason for the separation. |
Court Order Type |
Type of court order in force, if applicable. Typical values include:

Date the court order came into operation. |

Privacy policy agreed |
Selected if the student's parents or guardians have read and agreed to conform to your organisation's privacy policy. |
