Use the Co-curricular tab to view and maintain co-curricular details for the selected student.

Note:
You need to assign co-curricular classes to the selected student to enable this tab. See the SynWeb Co-Curriculum manual.

To open the Co-curricular tab:

  1. Select Module > Students > Current Student Maintenance from the main menu.
    The Set Current Student Search Criteria window is displayed.
    Tip: You can also access the current student functions by clicking .
  2. Search for the student. See Searching for existing students in the Current students manual.
  3. Click the Co-curricular tab.
    The Co-curricular tab of Current Student Maintenance is displayed.

    Note: The SportSquad and Team fields relate to Subject class category fields 1 to 3.

Fields

Field

Description

File Type

Select to filter displayed classes based on the type of co-curricular class. For example:

  • cadet training
  • music
  • performing arts
  • summer sports
  • winter sports.

File Term

Select to filter displayed classes based on the co-curricular term.

Grid area fields

Field

Description

Subject class category 1

Level 1 subject class category. For example, Sport.

Note:
The title of this field depends on the subject class category selected in the SubjectClassCategoryCode1 field of the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic
System maintenance manual.

Subject class category 2

Level 2 subject class category. For example, Squad.

Note:

Subject class category 3

Level 3 subject class category. For example, Team.

Note:

Class

Co-curricular class code.

Description

Description of the co-curricular class.

Start Date

Start date of the co-curricular class.

Stop Date

End date of the co-curricular class.

Staff

Staff member assigned to the co-curricular class.

Comment

Comment field.

Representation

Whether the student has represented at a professional event or competition.

Colours

Team colours of the student.

Position

Role of the student in the co-curricular activity.

Points

Points earned by the student.

Buttons

Note:
To enable the following buttons you need to select a co-curricular class in the grid area. If there are no co-curricular classes in the grid area you need to assign the student to a class. See Maintaining co-curricular programs in the SynWeb Co-Curriculum manual.

Description

Launch the General tab of Class Maintenance to view the subject class category level 1 class. For example, Basketball.

Note:
This button will disabled if the student is not assigned to a subject class category level 1 class for the selected co-curricular term. See Maintaining co-curricular programs in the SynWeb Co-Curriculum manual.

Launch the General tab of Class Maintenance to view the subject class category level 2 class. For example, BasketballU12.

Add a co-curricular class for the selected student. See Adding co-curricular classes.

Launch the Modify Sports Classes window to modify the student's sporting details. See Modifying co-curricular classes.

Delete the selected co-curricular class. See Deleting co-curricular classes.
