Use the Split Payments tab of Debtor Maintenance to redirect debtor charges from one debtor to another. See Debtor Maintenance - Split Payments tab (on page ).
In the example below, the main debtor for the Akira children, Mr Akira, pays everything except for tuition fees. Use the T fee code to split tuition fees 50/50 between Mr Akira and his ex-wife Mrs Akira.
So, if a tuition fee of $1000 is charged, the split charge is as follows:

If this was instead a boarding fee for $1000, Mrs Akira would pay nothing (as it is a non-tuition fee) while Mr Akira would pay $1000.

Split payments from primary debtor's perspective

The Split Payments tab of the Debtor Maintenance window below is displayed from Mr T Allan's perspective. Mr Allan sends split payment charges to Mrs Adamski. (If you create the split in Mrs Adamski's debtor record first, Mr Allan receives split payment charges from Mrs Adamski).

The Split Payments tab of the Debtor Maintenance window below is displayed from Mr & Mrs Adamski's perspective. Mr & Mrs Adamski receive split payment charges from Mr Pentogenis.
