Specialist rooms can be set up in two ways:

Note: The room codes in the luRoom lookup table in Synergetic must match the room codes entered in Primary Time. See the luRoom lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Tip: If the luRoom lookup table is not populated in Synergetic you can select the Allow insert of rooms in luRoom field when importing to populate the lookup table with Primary Time room codes. See Importing Primary Time timetables into the Synergetic timetable (on page ).

To import specialist rooms:
- Create the CSV file of specialist rooms, with:

- • two columns in the following order: Room Code, Room Name
...
- • a maximum number of characters of:
• 5 for Room Code
• 40 for Room Name.
...
- • no headings.
- Select Basic Data > Rooms from the main menu.

The Rooms window is displayed.

- Click

The following dialog window is displayed.

- Click .
The Open window is displayed.

- Navigate to the file directory with the CSV file.
- Select the CSV file of specialist rooms.

- Click .
The following dialog window is displayed.

- Click
- Click .
The Rooms window is displayed with the imported rooms added to the grid area.

- Check all the rooms were imported successfully.
Note: Primary Time does not notify you if there is a duplicate code.
- Select each room in turn.
- Update the room's available times for each day and period, as needed. See Defining school assemblies using room availability (on page ).

- Repeat steps 10 and 11 for each specialist room.
