Use the LinkInstalmentsAndPlansFlag configuration setting to determine whether instalments and payment plans are linked. When they are:
- linked users can only update payment plan details prior to the first instalment charge, after which time they are locked and cannot be updatedunlinked users can update payment plan details at any timethe charging frequency of payment plan instalments (maintained using the Instalments tab) is updated when debtors update their payment frequency using the Payment Plans tab of the Community Portal.
- unlinked the charging frequency of payment plan instalments (maintained using the Instalments tab) is not updated when debtors update their payment frequency using the Payment Plans tab of the Community Portal.

Default value
The default value is True False. Instalments and payment plans are linkedunlinked.
Setting a different value
Clear Select the Value field of the Configuration File Maintenance window to unlink link instalments and payment plans to allow users to update their payment plan details at any time. See Configuration File Maintenance window.
