Description
The ShowPossibleNonAttendReason setting is used to determine whether the Possible Non Attend Reason field (column) is displayed on the Attendance window.
See Attendance window in the Attendance and absence events manual.
Default value
The default value is True.
The Possible Non Attend Reason is determined by Synergetic which looks for any:
- absence events up to an hour after the class
- co-curricular activities or medical incidents which overlap the class.

Setting a different value
Clear the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to False. See Maintaining configuration files.

The Possible Non Attend Reason field (column) is no longer displayed on the Attendance window.
For example, the field is not required because this information is displayed in the Status bar instead, for the selected record. In the following example, an absence slip has already been added for Stephen Brakus who is absent from class.
