Use the Domains tab to:
- view domains linked to the area
- select or clear the Summarise field (column) which determines whether the results are reported at the domain level.
AusVELS and VELS domains are currently supported. VELS (Victorian Education Learning Standards) has a defined set of assessment standards:
- Strands. These are the three core, interrelated strands of learning:
- Physical, Personal and Social Learning.
- Discipline-based Learning.
- Inter-disciplinary Learning.
- Domains. Within each strand of learning, the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours are organised into domains.
- Dimensions. Divisions within each domain which have standards written for them.
Domains are linked using the Area tab. See Subject Assessment Area Maintenance - Area bar - Area tab (on page ).
Opening the Domains tab
To open the Domains tab:
- Select Curriculum > Assessment Area Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
The Set Subject Assessment Area Search Criteria window is displayed.
- Search for the assessment area.
- Click on the Area bar.
Tip: You can click anywhere on the bar other than the caption to open it.
- Click next to the subject assessment area you want to maintain.

- Click the Domains tab
