Synergetic configuration files contain a list of all the internal settings that determine the way that:

  • Synergetic works
  • other newer software works, such as the Community Portal.


Important: Never alter configuration files unless you know the full implications of doing so. Changes to these values can cause systemwide changes for all users.
How to

  • Update long strings, and those with formatting characters, using the memo button. See Updating string values using the memo button (on page ).
  • Maintain the portal configuration. See Community portal configuration in the Community portal configuration manual.
  • Update the method used to select parents during an SES export. See SES parent extraction settings (on page ) in the System maintenance manual.
  • Set absence events configuration settings. See Maintaining absence events configuration settings.
