Installing the DocMan service requires several steps:

  1. Ensure your servers and network meet the prerequisites listed below.
  2. Launch the DocMan service installer and accept the default values for the installation.
  3. Configure Synergetic to use the service. See Configuring the DocMan service.
  4. Set up the file server with the appropriate folders. See Configuring the DocMan service folders.
  5. Start and test the DocMan service. See Testing the DocMan service.

DocMan service system prerequisites
Ensure that:

  • .Net 3.5 is installed on the SQL server
  • If it is not installed, add the Application Server role through SQL Server Manager.
  • The zSynergeticService user exists in the SQL server.
  • The zSynergeticService user is mapped to SynergyOne and SynergyOneMedia.
  • The zSynergeticService user is assigned the database role membership SynergeticServiceDocMan.
