Getting SSRS Reports to Work in Synergetic

Synergetic Parameters

  • In order to be executed from SynWeb, one or both of the following parameters are required to exist in a report. These parameters will be utilised by Synergetic applications and should not be populated by the end user. They should have a data type of 'text', accept NULL and blank values and have a default value of NULL.
  • For the purposes of executing reports from either a report designer or Report Manager, these parameters should be hidden. When executing a report from SynWeb, these parameters should not be included on the report selection screen at all.
  • The following screenshots depict the SynApproleCookie parameter in a report designer, however the same settings apply to the SynMainDataset parameter, just replacing values against 'Name' and 'Prompt' with 'SynMainDataset'.
