Impersonate User Login window

 Opening the Impersonate User Login page

To open the Impersonate User Login page:

  1. Launch the Community Portal in an internet browser.
  2. Log in as a portal administrator.

    Tip
    : Admin user logins are separated by commas between the <AdminUserNames></AdminUserNames> tags in the XML configuration file. See Editing the SynCommPortal.xml configuration file.

    Tip: You can also access the Admin Panel if you have been assigned the CommunityPortalAdminPanel security resource in Group/User Security Maintenance. See Group Security Maintenance - Groups View in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
     
  3. Click Impersonate on the Admin panel.

    The Impersonate User Login page is displayed.

Community member search

Search for a community member using

  • community surname
  • community given name
  • community ID.

    Note:
    Entering a Community ID will automatically login the Community Member and display their name in red above the Selections area.

Constituencies filter

Filter search results by constituency code.

Show Database logins only

Filter search results to only show community members created using the Other tab in Synergetic and SynWeb.

Whether approval has been granted to the currently logged in admin user to modify the details of the selected community member.

Current

Whether the community member is a current student.

Future

Whether the community member is a future student.

Past

Whether the community member is a past student.

Year

Community member's last year level at your organisation.

Student Year

Community member's last year at your organisation.
