Updating MS Query queries for the single database structure
To update an MS Query for the single database structure:
- Open Microsoft Excel.
- Create an MS Query for either:
• SynergyOne
• SynergyOneFinance
• SynergyExtraFinance.
See Extracting data using the Microsoft Query wizard. - Click the Data tab.
- Click Connections.
The Workbook Connections window is displayed. - Select the query.
- Click
The Connection Properties window is displayed. . - Click the Definition tab.
The Definition tab is displayed. - Update:
• DSN to Synergetic
• DATABASE to the single database name. For example, Synergetic_AUVIC_CDA_TST. - Click
The SQL Server Login window is displayed. . - Type your username into the Login ID field.
- Type your password into the Password field.
- Click
The following error is displayed. . - Click .
- Repeat steps 5 through 7.
- Update the database in the Command text field.
Note: You need to replace the dbo to extrafinance if you are updating a SynergeticExtraFinance MS Query query. - Click .
- Repeat steps 2 through 16 to update additional MS Query queries.
- Click Save.
