2022-08 - CESA and LEA (LEVNT) Exports

Education Horizons Group have recently completed new Exports for CESA and LEA (LEVNT).

These changes have been compiled into a v70 hotfix package, to allow v70 users to obtain these new exports without needing an upgrade.

Overview of changes included in this hotfix package

  • New CESA (Catholic Education South Australia) religious survey

  • New LEA (Lutheran Education Australia) religious census as commissioned by LEVNT (Lutheran Education Vic, NSW and Tas).

Obtaining and applying the hotfix

We have created a hotfix patch for v70 releases of Synergetic. 

(A version v69 patch is not available.  If you are on a v69 release, then to access this export you will need to arrange an upgrade to v.70.18 or above.  As at 8 August 2022, version 70.18 is scheduled for imminent release.)

1) Download the zip file and StuXie.exe from the links below :

2) Open the zip file and extract the file.

  • Place the database patcher file onto your SQL server (or to a location that is able to communicate with the SQL Server)
  • Place the StuXie.exe file into your Synergetic application folder (the SynMain location when looking at Help → About within Synergetic)

3) Run the database patcher exe program - this will run a database patcher wizard which will take you through the steps to apply the database logic changes for this report.

4) Once the patcher has completed successfully, your system should be updated and ready to export CESA and LEA data. 

5) When you use the Student Data Import/Export program within the Synergetic menu, the system should detect the presence of the updated StuXie.exe file and prompt to use this. 

  • To export CESA or LEA say Yes to the prompt and continue with the export process in the restricted functionality Synergetic window that will open.
  • To undertake any other export / import say No to the prompt and continue as normal.

Interface Settings Mappings

Note that prior to running the exports, schools will need to ensure that mappings for CESA or LEA have been completed in:

  • System > Interface Settings
