Learning areas are essentially the academic and non-academic departments or faculties within your organisation. Subjects are grouped into learning areas to give department heads an easy overview of their classes, staff and students.
For instance English classes such as '7ENGA' or '8ENGC' would be placed within learning area code 'ENGLISH', as show in the diagram below.

Using the learning areas, you can get an overview of your teaching staff, and students who study classes within your department. You can add or remove classes from a learning area.

How to:

  • Search for a learning area on the system. See Searching for learning areas (on page ).
  • Create a new learning area. See Creating new learning areas (on page ).

Note: You can access Learning Area Maintenance through either the Students or Assessments modules.
