You can use SynWeb to record absence events for individual students.
How to
Use the Absence Events Maintenance window to:

  • Search for existing absence events. See Searching for absence events (on page ).
  • View details about existing absence events. See Absence Events Maintenance window (on page ).
  • Add new absence events. See Recording an absence event (on page ) and Create Absence Events window (on page ).
  • Supersede a previously entered absence event. See Superseding an absence event (on page ).
  • Modify an existing absence event. See Modifying an existing absence event (on page ).
  • Modify existing absence events in bulk. See Modifying existing absence events in bulk (on page ).

Example of using two absence events
If a student leaves on one day and is expected to return during the following day, use two absence events:

  • Record the student's expected departure.
  • Record the student's expected return. See Recording an absence event (on page ).
