The Keys bar allows you to keep track of all keys issued to staff members. Use the Keys bar to:

  1. Select Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Staff Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.
  3. Click the Keys bar.

    Tip:
     You can click anywhere on a navigation bar other than the caption to open it.

Staff Maintenance - Keys bar key fields and buttons

Description

Key Code

Select the key that is being issued.

Description

Description of the key that is issued.

Date Issued

Optionally select a date of issue.

Key Number

Provide the key's unique identification number (up to 15 characters).

Date Returned

Select the date the key was returned.

Comment

Any comment about the key issued.

Return Key

Click the icon to return the selected key.

Currently Issued Only

Select to only display keys that are currently issued to the staff member. Clear to display all keys ever issued to the staff member, including keys that have been returned.
