Synergetic ID of the relation.

Relation

Relationship from the perspective of the student.

Note: You can define the relationship between male, female, and other gendered community members using the RevRelationshipMale, RevRelationshipFemale, and RevRelationshipOther fields of the luRelationship lookup table. See luRelationship lookup table in the Synergetic System Maintenance manual.

Constituencies

Constituencies that the relation belongs to.
Constituencies that are displayed in:

  • UPPERCASE are Synergetic constituencies. For example, the @DEB constituency is displayed as DEB (debtor).
  • lowercase are user-defined constituencies. For example, the counc (school council) user-defined constituency is displayed as counc.

Use SMS

Option for sending SMS (short message service) text messages.

Portal Approval

Whether the selected relation is approved to:

  • fill out the community member's excursion permission forms on the Community Portal
  • access and update the community member's My Details information on the Community Portal.

Key points regarding portal approval

  • Current students are always approvers for themselves
  • Current students are always approvers for their spouses (if they have one)
  • Relations can be set as approvers for current students using the Portal Approval field
  • When the Portal Approval field is blank the approvers are:

    - Contacts with the Parent flag selected
    - Contacts whose ID is used as the contact.

Tip: You can set current students as approvers for community members using the Relations bar of Community Maintenance. See Community Maintenance - Relations bar.

Description

Search Filter

The Search Filter field is located at the top of the Student Selector. This field can be used to filter students by any of the information displayed in the Student Selector.
For example to filter students by name simply type either the student's:

  • last name
  • first name
  • last name then first name separated by a comma.
    To filter students by year level simply type the student's year level in the Search Filter field.
