When you first start Class Maintenance, the Set Class Search Criteria window is displayed to allow you to find the class records you want.

  1. Select Curriculum > Class Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Set Class Search Criteria window is displayed.

  2. Enter your search criteria into the fields.
    Note: At any stage you can change your selections. To do this, click Image Removed Image Added and then make your new selections.
  3. Click Image Removed Image Added.
    The first search result is displayed.

  4. Click on the class links on the left to navigate to other classes.

  5. View the class details. See Maintaining classes (on page ).


Set Class Search Criteria window key fields and buttons
Field

Field

Description

File Type

Search for classes of a particular file type, either academic or cocurricular.

Year & Sem

Search for the year and semester when the class is offered.

Campus

Search for the campus that the class is taught at, if applicable.

Class Code

Search for the unique identifier of the class, if an individual class is required.

Board Studies Code

Search for the unique identifier for Board of Studies classes, if applicable.
For example, MA081 (Mathematical Methods 1).
This is the subject code in New Zealand schools.

Description

Search using the class description. You can search on part of the description, or use the % character as a wildcard.

Staff Code

Search for the identifier of the staff member taking the class.

Year Level

Search for the year level that the class applies to.

Learning Area

Search for classes in a given learning area.
