Use the Staff Personal Comments window to maintain comments for a staff member, including for staff assessment purposes.

Staff Personal Comments window key fields and buttons
Fields

Field

Description

Seq

Sequence number used to organise comments.

Note:
This field is automatically populated.

Topic

Topic or category that the comments relate to.

Rating

Assessment rating for an assessable staff comment.

Comment

Comment that is displayed if the student achieves the rating for the topic.

To personalise the comments, either use:

  • ? for Synergetic to replace the student's name in the output
  • the male pronoun (he, his, him) so that the correct pronoun is applied based on the student's gender.

Buttons

Button

Description

Add a new comment, at the end of the list of comments.

Insert a new comment, just before the highlighted comment.

Delete the highlighted comment.

Move the highlighted comment:

  • up a level in the hierarchy of comments
  • down a level in the hierarchy
  • attach the comment to another comment that you choose from a drop-down list.
    The Move Comment window is displayed.

Check the spelling of the highlighted text.
The Spelling window is displayed.

Insert a comment before the highlighted comment, identical to the last comment added.

Display the hierarchy of comments using the Comment Tree window.

Save the comment you are adding or changing, and continue maintaining comments.

Save the comment you are adding or changing, and exit.
