1. Open the Mark Book sub-tab of the Area tab of the Student Results Maintenance window. See Student Results Maintenance - Mark Book tab (on page ).

2. Click  to create a new mark book assessment.
3. Complete the Mark Book fields. See Maintaining mark book assessment areas from Student Results Maintenance (on page ).
4. In the Weighting Factor field, type the weighting factor for the mark book.
   Tip: Ensure that the relative weighting between them is consistent. In the following example, the weighting factors of 0.25, 0.25 and 0.5 add up to 1.
5. In the Transfer to Assessment Area Seq field, select the sequence number of the subject assessment that this mark book assessment is linked to.
